The Moorman-Simon award, in particular, honors faculty conducting truly interdisciplinary research that bridges multiple schools and colleges across the University.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"720\" data-end=\"1076\">Professor Ghadiyaram\u2019s research focuses on developing language modeling and artificial intelligence (AI) systems for sign language recognition, in collaboration with colleagues from both the Charles River and Medical Campuses. Her work exemplifies BU\u2019s commitment to advancing inclusive, cross-disciplinary innovation in AI and accessibility.
