Please fill out the above form if you wish to be added to a Department of Computer Science waitlist, and see below for more information on how we manage our waitlists.
What we do have waitlists for
- CAS/GRS CS courses numbered 111 and higher during the fall and spring semesters if all lectures sections are full
What we do not have waitlists for
- Non-CAS/GRS CS courses (if a class is cross-listed with a course in a different department, we only maintain a waitlist for the CS course)
- CS 10X courses, i.e. non-major CS courses
- Summer I or II courses
- CS courses in which all lecture seats across all sections are not full
Remember to update your local address and BU Alert phone number every semester by visiting the Personal Tab, then Compliance Status on the StudentLink. We cannot add you to a class from the waitlist unless you are fully compliant with the university!
Preference is given to CAS/GRS CS students. PhD students will be added off the waitlist first, followed by Masters students and then undergraduate students by seniority. Within each of these groups, preference is given to those who sign up for the waitlist earliest.
You may not submit waitlist requests before your registration time on the StudentLink.
The department will be in contact with you by email if we are able to add you to a course from the waitlist. We maintain our waitlists until the last day to add a course for the semester. Any inquiries can be sent to email@example.com.
