The hospital is the primary teaching affiliate for Boston University School of Medicine. Emphasizing community-based care, the mission of Boston Medical Center is to provide consistently accessible health services to all is the largest safety net hospital in New England. Its motto is &#8220;Exceptional Care Without Exception&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-276    alignleft\" src=\"\/creedd\/files\/2009\/09\/boston-medical-center.gif\" alt=\"boston-medical-center\" width=\"380\" height=\"198\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Boston Medical Center is also a member of Boston HealthNet, a high quality healthcare system that includes 15 community health centers in Boston, Dorchester, Mattapan, Quincy, Roslindale, and Roxbury. These community health centers will provide some of the cites for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/creedd\/projects\/project1\/\" target=\"_self\">Project 1: &#8220;Partnering with Community Health Centers to prevent ECC&#8221;<\/a> that is led by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/creedd\/projects\/project1\/projectinvestigators\/\" target=\"_self\">Dr. Nancy Kressin<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/creedd\/projects\/project1\/projectinvestigators\/#norman\" target=\"_self\">Dr. Norman Tinanoff<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/creedd\/projects\/project1\/projectinvestigators\/#paul\" target=\"_self\">Dr. Paul Geltman<\/a>. Boston Medical Center provides a full spectrum of pediatric and adult care services from primary to family medicine advanced specialty care. In the initial <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/creedd\/\" target=\"_self\">CREEDD<\/a> funding (2001-2008), Boston Medical Center played an integral role in Dr. Nancy Kressin&#8217;s project to train pediatricians in oral health counseling. BMC was also the site for other pilot projects, including a project for improving the oral health of refugees under the direction of Dr. Paul Geltman, a pediatrician.
