{"id":5201,"date":"2019-04-15T16:21:18","date_gmt":"2019-04-15T20:21:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cpt\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=5201"},"modified":"2019-04-15T16:21:43","modified_gmt":"2019-04-15T20:21:43","slug":"hirho-park","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cpt\/profile\/hirho-park\/","title":{"rendered":"HiRho Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Park oversees the continuing education, digital education (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.umccybercampus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.umccybercampus.com&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1555444400345000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGzuLbzMNHzxkjX_OE6TB0T2W0mYQ\" rel=\"noopener\">www.umccybercampus.com<\/a>), and spiritual formation for clergy and provides support for United Methodist clergywomen, as well as racial and ethnic clergy in areas of theological education, enlistment, and research. \u00a0She is an ordained elder of the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference.\u00a0 Park\u00a0has directed a few historical research projects, such as Demographics of UMC Continuing Education (2007), Lead Women Pastors Project (2009), Salaries for United Methodist Clergy in the U.S. Context (2010), and Leadership Development of UMC Racial -Ethnic Lead Pastors Serving Cross-Racial and Cross-Cultural Appointements (2014).\u00a0\u00a0She organized the 50<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and the 60<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of full clergy rights for women in the Methodist tradition and the first United Methodist Racial-Ethnic Clergywomen&#8217;s Consultation in 2008.\u00a0 Park is a co-editor of\u00a0<i>Breaking through the Stained Glass Ceiling<\/i>\u00a0(2013), a contributor to the\u00a0<i>Encyclopedia of Christian Education<\/i>\u00a0(2015) and a translator of\u00a0<i>Professional Coach Training<\/i>\u00a0(Korean edition, 2015).\u00a0 Park published a new book,\u00a0<i>Develop Intercultural Competence<\/i>\u00a0in 2018, and she is a contributor to\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"m_145575364137161858xhighlight\"><span>The<\/span><\/span><span>\u00a0<span class=\"m_145575364137161858xhighlight\">Upper<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"m_145575364137161858xhighlight\">Room<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"m_145575364137161858xhighlight\">Discipline<\/span>s<\/span><span>\u00a02019.\u00a0<\/span><span>Park recently launched a global coaching initiative, \u201cWomen Coaching Women\u201d project. \u00a0Park is an author of\u00a0<i>Christian Spiritual Coaching and Wesleyan Quadrilateral<\/i>\u00a0(2017). She is a translator of Korean edition,\u00a0<i>Professional Coach Training: Develop Leadership Excellence and Effectiveness<\/i>\u00a0by J. Val Hastings (2015).\u00a0 Park is the editor for WellSprings Journal and podcast at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wellspringspodcast.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.wellspringspodcast.org&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1555444400345000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEbMzmNhT-S71JPXDSkGR3y-eMq9g\" rel=\"noopener\">www.wellspringspodcast.org<\/a>.\u00a0 Park\u00a0holds a D.
