During the weekend of April 10th<\/sup><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Crews will be on site Saturday and Sunday to begin installing steel beams connecting the tower crane to the building’s concrete core. These beams are installed to support the mast of the tower crane (the supporting structure that gives the\u00a0<\/span>crane its height)<\/span> in advance of extending the height of the crane by 100 feet<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Also on Saturday, the concrete subcontractor will be on site to continue installing formwork and rebar for the ground floor slab in the tower.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      During the week of April 12th<\/sup><\/sup><\/h2>\n
        \n
      • The extension of the tower crane will continue throughout the week<\/strong>. A\u00a0mobile crane will arrive on site early in the week to assist in adding additional sections to the mast. This operation is anticipated to extend through the weekend of April 17th<\/sup> and 18th<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • Formwork and rebar installation for the ground floor slab in the tower will continue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • The installation of \u201cStair C\u201d will begin<\/strong> in the northeast corner of the podium from the lower level to the ground floor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • Waterproofing of the perimeter foundation walls will continue with the backfilling operation following behind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • In advance of structural steel erection beginning in early May, the installation of a temporary support foundation system<\/strong> will begin. This system will be used to support the building’s cantilevers<\/strong> as steel members are set in place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                  \n
                • Eversource contacted the project team and requested access to a manhole located within the site fence in the alley between Sargent College and the Bay State Road Brownstones on Monday, April 26 at 11 pm for service upgrade work. There will not be a service disruption; this work is unrelated to the construction of the Center for Computing & Data Sciences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
