{"id":19669,"date":"2020-01-16T13:32:32","date_gmt":"2020-01-16T17:32:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cpo\/?p=19669"},"modified":"2023-04-12T13:37:04","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T17:37:04","slug":"bu-childrens-center-construction-update-1-16-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cpo\/2020\/01\/16\/bu-childrens-center-construction-update-1-16-20\/","title":{"rendered":"BU Children\u2019s Center \u2013 Construction Update \u2013 1\/16\/20"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>During the week of January 13th<\/h3>\n<p>On site, work includes excavating for and installing the stormwater infiltration system.<\/p>\n<h4>Main Building<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Insulating of HVAC piping will occur on the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> floor.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of lights will occur on the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> floor.<\/li>\n<li>Boiler plumbing work will occur in the basement.<\/li>\n<li>Fire protection work will occur in ceilings.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of window frames and windows will occur.<\/li>\n<li>Door, frames, hardware, and millwork installation will occur on the first and second floors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Connector<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Connector building will receive cedar siding.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of window frames will occur.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation and insulation will occur along with fire protection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>During the week of January 20th<\/h3>\n<p>On site, work will include excavating for and installing the stormwater infiltration system. Rough grading of exterior playground will occur.<\/p>\n<h4>Main Building<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Insulation of HVAC piping will occur on the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> floor.<\/li>\n<li>Fire protection work will occur in ceilings.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of ceiling tiles will occur.<\/li>\n<li>Door, frames, hardware, and millwork installation will occur on the first and second floors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Connector<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Connector building will receive cedar siding.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of windows will occur.<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation and insulation will occur along with fire protection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>As a reminder to all, please be aware of all directional signage, as pedestrian travel paths may be altered.
