{"id":17687,"date":"2019-05-17T13:13:42","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T17:13:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cpo\/?p=17687"},"modified":"2023-04-12T13:45:01","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T17:45:01","slug":"bu-childrens-center-construction-update-5-17-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cpo\/2019\/05\/17\/bu-childrens-center-construction-update-5-17-19\/","title":{"rendered":"BU Children&#8217;s Center &#8211; Construction Update &#8211; 5\/17\/19"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>During the week of May 20th<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Layout and demolition of plumbing trenches in basement will begin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Wall demolition at three car garage will begin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Construction in progress from sewer line to one garage from Lenox Street.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Exterior lead abatement will c<\/span>ontinue<span>\u00a0using 60\u2019 boom lift.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Underpinning will continue.\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>During the Week of May 27th<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Basement slab trenching demolition is continued.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Single car garage demolition continued.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Underpinning will continue this week.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Construction will cut and cap water and provide new water service to main building.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Interior lead abatement will start this week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Exterior lead abatement to continue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Window sash and hardware removal to begin this week contingent on release by BU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead abatement at windows will begin in conjunction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Temp window protection after sash removal to begin and follow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a reminder to all, please be aware of all directional signage, as pedestrian travel paths may be altered.
