{"id":23993,"date":"2022-07-07T09:40:17","date_gmt":"2022-07-07T13:40:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cpo\/?page_id=23993"},"modified":"2026-06-02T09:43:44","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T13:43:44","slug":"notification-requests","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cpo\/notification-requests\/","title":{"rendered":"Scheduled Building &#038; Infrastructure Notification Requests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This form is used to request and approve notifications for <strong>scheduled or planned building and infrastructure work<\/strong>, including utility outages, construction impacts, and related activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission requirement:<\/strong> Requests for planned work must be submitted at least <strong>3 days before the scheduled work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Before You Proceed<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Does this work require a building-wide notification?<\/strong><br \/>\nProceed with this form only if at least <strong>one<\/strong> of the following conditions applies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Occupied space:<\/strong> The impacted area will be occupied during the work<br \/>\n<em>(includes residential buildings, even outside normal business hours)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Research or laboratory impact:<\/strong> The work affects a research or laboratory space<\/li>\n<li><strong>Large-scale impact:<\/strong> The work impacts multiple floors or an entire building in an occupied space<\/li>\n<li><strong>Access, safety, or utilities:<\/strong> The work affects access, life safety systems, or essential utilities in occupied space <em>(e.g., entrances, egress routes, fire systems, power, water, HVAC)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If none of the above conditions apply, a building-wide notification is not required.
