Goldman School of Dental Medicine – Construction Update – 6/25/21

During the weekend of June 26:

With the receipt of the formal certificate of occupancy for the final phase of the building addition and renovation project, GSDM will continue to move equipment and supplies into the sixth-floor patient treatment center while the school awaits approval to begin actual patient care from the Department of Public Health.

On Tuesday, June 29 at 5 p.m., the first of two final inspections of the overall building systems will be done by inspectors from the Boston Fire Department. This test will be on the main fire protection pipes located in the stairwells. Notifications will be sent to the GSDM community from the director of facilities and operations with detailed information about how the test will be conducted and any tripping hazards to be aware of. Crews from the project team will be present to communicate with people as they walk through the testing areas.

With most of the work now completed for the overall addition and renovation project, crews will continue working through their final punch list of tasks in the interior and on the exterior of the school.
