Goldman School of Dental Medicine – Construction Update – 6/18/21
During the weekend of June 19:
- On Sunday, June 20, mechanical contractors will be working on the fan coil unit in the ceiling of the central sterilization room in the basement, to address a temperature control issue in the first-floor space above.
During the week starting June 21:
- Following the project’s achievement of a formal certificate of occupancy for the final phase of the building addition and renovation project, GSDM will continue to move equipment and supplies into the sixth-floor patient treatment center while the School awaits approval to begin actual patient care from the Department of Public Health.
- With most of the work now completed for the overall addition and renovation project, crews will continue working through their final punch list of tasks on both the exterior and interior of the school. There will also be final inspections of the overall building systems with City of Boston inspectors and the Boston Fire Department in the coming weeks. Notifications will be sent to the GSDM community from the director of facilities and operations as these inspection dates are confirmed.
