During the weekend of May 22:

  • There will be no work on-site this weekend.

During the week starting May 24:

  • Following successful inspections of the mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, and plumbing systems, as well as the final building inspection last week, City of Boston inspectors will do a full review of the life-safety elements of the existing sixth-floor patient treatment center. This is the last step toward achieving the next big milestone of the project: the certificate of occupancy for Phase 4 of the four-phase addition and renovation project. The date for this inspection will be subject to availability of the inspectors.
  • With most of the work now completed in the sixth-floor patient treatment center, crews will be performing punch-list work and cleaning throughout the space. In the evenings, workers will continue to complete repairs and finishing touches in areas typically occupied during the day.
  • The majority of tasks at the site work have now been completed. The construction site fence and jersey barriers have been removed, and the sidewalk has been reopened along Albany Street. A crew will continue exterior work along Albany Street, completing the restoration of landscape and hardscape areas between the patient entrance and the loading dock.
