Goldman School of Dental Medicine – Construction Update – 5/7/21
During the weekend of May 8:
- On Saturday, May 8, there will be an initial thorough cleaning of the sixth-floor patient treatment center, during hours when fewer workers are in the renovation area. There will also be a small crew working in the stairwells installing luminary strips designed to identify the edges of stairs and railings in the dark in the event of an emergency power loss.
- On Sunday, May 9, testing with the City of Boston Fire Department will commence at 7 a.m. for the new fire alarm system completed in the sixth-floor patient treatment center.
During the week starting May 10:
- On Monday, doors, hardware, and room signage will be installed in the new sixth-floor patient treatment center toilet rooms. This work will be followed by sealing around all fixtures, and final painting and finishes.
- With the installation of the new Dentsply Sirona dental chairs and associated equipment completed last week in the new sixth-floor patient treatment, crews will be working on completing the cabinets and privacy screens around each chair.
- Also in the sixth-floor patient treatment center, entrance doors and associated hardware will be installed at the beginning of the week, followed by finish painting, installation of remaining pieces of floor base, and cleaning.
