A former seasonal interpretive park ranger with the National Park Service, he has published scientific articles on the glacial landscapes of Glacier Bay and Yosemite National Parks. On a personal note, he participated in a program similar to BU\u2019s Core Curriculum when he was an undergraduate\u2014and he met his future spouse in the program&#8217;s specialty housing.
