She teaches courses on ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of law, the history of philosophy, and the philosophy of gender and sexuality. She is a member of the faculty in the BU Department of Philosophy, and a member of the core faculty in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/wgs\/\">Women\u2019s, Gender, &amp; Sexuality Program<\/a>, and co-directs The Mentoring Project For Pre-tenure Women Faculty in Philosophy. Before coming to Boston University, she was an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Women\u2019s Studies at Tulane University.<\/p>\n<p>She is the author of <em>Hobbes on Resistance: Defying the Leviathan <\/em>(Cambridge University Press, 2010) and articles and book chapters including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cLocke on Marriage.\u201d In <em>The Lockean Mind<\/em>.
