
Kristen Tzoc entered the BU Sociology program in 2017 after completing her M.A. (2016) in Sociology and B.A. (2015) in Psychology, Anthropology, and Sociology from Lehigh University. Her research interests include social inequalities, medical sociology, sociology of education, social networks, and sociology of occupations. Currently, Kristen is working with Neha Gondal to examine the structure of relationships between colleges and accounting firms, and with Deborah Carr and Pamela Smock to investigate the economic ramifications of divorce. Her ongoing dissertation work explores the ways in which retirement expectations and plans are shaped by occupations.
