he/him/his

Ben Kampler is a PhD candidate in sociology at Boston University. He earned his BA in English down the road at Brandeis University before earning an interdisciplinary MA from NYU and an MA in sociology from CUNY’s Queens College. Ben’s experiences working full-time at the historic Stonewall Inn exposed him to a multiplicity of queer people from around the world and shaped his future research interests. Currently Ben is working with Joseph Harris on articles examining the deployment of health technology assessment in middle and lower-income countries and his dissertation examines negative reactions to PrEP (a once-a-day HIV prevention pill regimen) among some gay men.
