Our main building is located at 640 Commonwealth Ave. with secondary studio locations at 808 Commonwealth Ave.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Students looking to access the COM building after hours and on weekends have the ability to register for card swipe building access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main Building Hours<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When Classes are in Session:<\/strong> Weekdays 7:30am \u2013 10pm
Semester Breaks:<\/strong> Weekdays 9am \u2013 5pm
Weekends, Holidays, and BU Intersession:<\/strong> Closed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardswipe access to 640 Comm Ave:<\/strong> Every Day 6am \u2013 Midnight.
All students currently enrolled in COM classes are automatically provided swipe access. Cardswipe access is disabled between semesters.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most COM Classrooms are generally open and available for walk-in use by the COM Community when not otherwise reserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Building Access:<\/h3>\n

    All students currently enrolled in COM classes are automatically provided swipe access into 640 Commonwealth Ave (Main COM Building). Make sure to review policies below before arriving.<\/p>\n

    COM Faculty and Staff are provided cardswipe access to COM buildings. New hires might need to contact Technical Operations for the list to be updated.<\/p>\n

    If you swipe access is not working or for other access questions, contact comhelp@bu.edu.<\/p>\n

    For 704\/CRC, swipe access is controlled by the CRC admin.<\/p>\n

    Extended Building Access Policies:<\/h3>\n

    With extended building access students may use their BUID to gain entry via the \u201cglass tower\u201d exterior stairwell daily between the hours of 6am and midnight.\u00a0<\/span>Students must leave the building no latter than 1am<\/strong>. There is no building access allowed between 1am \u2013 5am. Students may not remain in the building overnight.<\/p>\n

    Outside of normal BU class hours, only select classrooms and the student lounge are available. Studios, Podcast Rooms, and other technical spaces are generally not available unless students have a written permission and a reservation. Attempting to gain access to these spaces without a reservation is prohibited.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
