Classroom Help
If you or your professor encounter A/V problems in a COM classroom email comhelp@bu.edu or stop by room 205 for a dongle or general tech support. For more details on how to contact our tech team please see the Contact Us page.
For questions about how to use the A/V systems with a laptop, the provided desktop or information about streaming copyrighted content see one of our classrooms guides.
Technical Resources
To request a tour, walkthrough or presentation on any of our specialty spaces or resources available, please reach out to comhelp@bu.edu. We also recommend you email us if you want to reserve any of our studio spaces for a class session. Our staff is happy to train professors, students and Teaching Assistants on how to operate any equipment and use our spaces effectively.
Equipment
For any questions about reserving equipment through Field Production Services, watch our instructional video below or read our guidelines.
If your professor requests equipment for an in person workshop or class session they can reserve the equipment as normal in low quantities or reach out to comhelp@bu.edu for any questions they may have.Since FPS closes at 5 p.m. the procedure for after hours returns (for classes only) is to drop off the cart of equipment with a third floor employee at the Edit Bays. They will then return the cart to FPS as soon as possible.
