COM FileShare – CFS

COM operates a fileshare for advanced media and design needs and is available to faculty upon request. This fileshare is on COM’s Gigabit network which offers fast transfers of large (1+ GB) files for temporary use COM classes. The CFS fileshare is designed to store uncompressed media files for playback in COM’s studios and in-class screenings. It should be seen as a supplement to BU’s Blackboard system.

How to use the CFS Fileshare:

To use the service first look up the class’s username and password and then follow the instructions on the Connecting to CFS page. Once connected you can drag and drop files from the desktop to the fileshare as you would any other folder or drive.
