Antibodies constitute an astonishingly plastic molecular population that collectively serve as detectors and effectors in host protection against the microbes and viruses that share the world with us. The continued reshaping of the antibody response is part choreography and part improvisation, and is the subject of intense research effort. New measurement techniques, including high-throughput sequencing, have opened unprecedented new avenues for investigation and necessitated the development of sophisticated statistical and mathematical approaches. This symposium features speakers at the forefront of these developments to share their insights into these exciting new opportunities.<\/p>\n
