Your community is our community<\/a>. We’ve been organizing social programs specifically geared toward Boston-area residents for 175 years, from helping the city’s elderly, homeless, and refugee populations to offering free dental and fitness services for area children. That sense of civic responsibility<\/a> courses through BU’s student body as well, with Alternative Spring Break projects taking place around the city and a million-hour student volunteering campaign currently under way. We’re also part of the city’s cultural landscape, from running the\u00a0<\/span>BU Arts Initiative, which\u00a0connects Boston and the BU community via hundreds of cultural events and arts opportunities,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to sponsoring and hosting the\u00a0Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra to operating WBUR, Boston’s\u00a0award-winning, nationally acclaimed NPR station.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
