Bickerton<\/strong>, Resident Bishop of the United Methodist Church New Hope Episcopal Area and current BU Trustee, delivered the Baccalaureate Address earlier in the day at Marsh Chapel.<\/p>\n<p>In additional to Deschanel, honorary degrees were also awarded to: <strong>Dr. Sheri Fink,<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Pulitzer Prize winning health, science, and medicine investigative journalist;<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Sheldon Lee Glashow<\/strong>, BU Professor Emeritus of Physics and 1979 Nobel laureate in physics; the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Honorable<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Rebeca Martinez<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>(LAW \u201992), chief justice of the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals; and<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Dominic Moulden<\/strong>, resource organizer and initiator of The Elephant Free School.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>recipients of the Metcalf Cup &amp; Prize and Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching<\/strong> were presented their awards during the Commencement exercises.
