Katie Couric, anchor and managing editor for CBS evening news, delivered the 138th Commencement address. Nobel Prize for Chemistry recipient Dr. Ahmed Zewail spoke at the Baccalaureate Service. Monica S. Narang (CAS ’11) was the Student Speaker.
Also receiving honorary degrees were: Victoria Reggie Kennedy, founding president of nonprofit Common Sense about Kids and Guns; renowned chef Jacques Pépin; acclaimed artist Frank Stella; and NPR radio journalist Nina Totenberg.
