Speakers & Honorees
Larry Lucchino, president and CEO of the Boston Red Sox, delivered the University’s 135th Commencement address. William Hayling, physician and founder of a national minority mentoring program, spoke at the Baccalaureate service.
Also receiving honorary degrees were: BU Trustee Emeritus Earle Chiles, president of Earle Chiles and Affiliated Companies and philanthropist; tennis legend and women’s rights advocate Billie Jean King; and Millard “Mickey” Drexler, J. Crew chair and CEO.
