We hope you’ll join us for this energizing celebration as some 20,000 guests come together to honor this year’s graduates and celebrate their future endeavors to pave the way, make their mark, and improve our world. Eligible graduates* are welcome to join the All-University Commencement Exercises on May 21, 2023, the school/college convocations, and all other weekend celebratory events. At this time, there are no tickets or guest limits for the ceremony.
Speaker & Honorees: As is Boston University’s tradition, the names of the Commencement Speaker and Honorary Degree Recipients and the Metcalf Award winners were announced at the annual Senior Breakfast.
About the ceremony: The All-University Commencement will comprise of speeches from Boston University President Robert A. Brown, the Commencement speaker, and the student speaker, plus presentations to the Honorary Degree Recipients and Metcalf Award winners and the conferring of degrees. The Class of 2023 graduates will be seated with their school/college and recognized as a group. There will be ASL interpretation and Closed Captioning at the in-person ceremony.
Livestream: Those unable to make it to Nickerson Field for the ceremony can watch a live broadcast (with CART transcription), starting at 1 pm ET on May 21.
