{"id":43931,"date":"2025-10-15T15:53:01","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T19:53:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=43931"},"modified":"2025-10-15T15:53:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T19:53:02","slug":"scott-farwell-2","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/profile\/scott-farwell-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Scott Farwell"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Scott Farwell is a two-time finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and an executive producer of the in-production Scarlett Johansson film, \u201cThe Featherwood.\u201d The movie is an adaptation of his 2016 series, \u201cMy Aryan Princess,\u201d a gritty and voyeuristic story of a heroin addict recruited by federal agents to infiltrate the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scott is a former enterprise reporter for The Dallas Morning News. His 2014 narrative, \u201cThe Girl in the Closet,\u201d offered a touching portrait of a young woman who survived ghastly child abuse. Three years later, Scott and other reporters examined the racial hatred of a mass shooter who killed five Dallas police officers, the deadliest day for law enforcement since Sept. 11, 2001.
