In June 2014, the American Business Awards named him the recipient of its prestigious \u201cCommunications Professional of the Year\u201d award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most recently, he served as director of global public relations for Teladoc Health, the world\u2019s largest virtual healthcare company, specializing in health technology, telehealth, and expert medical services. Over the past 20+ years, Joseph also oversaw media relations, crisis communication and investor relations efforts for global education company, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and consumer tech giants Nikon USA and Canon USA. For Canon USA, he also served as a global media spokesperson. His campaign management, thought leadership and brand efforts have resulted in thousands of positive media placements for the organizations he\u2019s represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, Joseph received the prestigious Becker family prize for &#8220;Teacher of the Year,&#8221; and the Lyndon B. Johnson &#8220;Faculty Advisor of the Year&#8221; award in 2017. In 2020 and 2023, he was presented with the COM Dean\u2019s Award for Alumni Initiatives and Innovation, recognizing exceptional faculty contributions to the mission of the college. In addition to receiving both a BS and MS from Boston University, Joseph earned an MA in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has traveled extensively as a public speaker, spokesperson and lecturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2023,\u00a0Joseph\u00a0has also served as Director of Health Communication programs at BU\u2019s Metropolitan College.
