{"id":1570,"date":"2015-08-13T16:09:07","date_gmt":"2015-08-13T20:09:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=1570"},"modified":"2026-05-21T13:36:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T17:36:09","slug":"debbie-danielpour","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/profile\/debbie-danielpour\/","title":{"rendered":"Debbie Danielpour"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Debbie Danielpour is a College of Communication associate professor of film and television and a 2011 and 2017 recipient of the College of Communication\u2019s Teacher of the Year award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Danielpour has taught film and fiction writing for more than 20 years at Harvard University, San Francisco State University, and Emerson College. While there, she created the Screenwriting Certificate Program. She also created a variety of workshops and seminars in the United States, Europe and South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has published fiction (AGNI, LILITH, SALAMANDER, NATURAL BRIDGE, ANOTHER CHICAGO MAGAZINE), written chapters (WOMEN SCREENWRITERS: AN INTERNATIONAL GUIDE, THE PALGRAVE HANDBOOK OF SCREENWRITING STUDIES), peer-reviewed articles (THE JOURNAL OF SCREENWRITING), essays on film and television (ELECTRIC LITERATURE), feature and television scripts (MIRIAM, YOU DON\u2019T KNOW WHAT YOU\u2019RE MISSING, HALFWAY SOMEWHERE ELSE, HIS LAST GAME, WE\u2019RE ALL HERE, ALL TOO HUMAN-STAR TREK: TNG) and worked in development for studios and independent producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her seventh motion picture screenplay is currently in development.
