In this tradition, COM research explores cutting-edge topics in all communication fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are enhancing research that matters. Our Communication Research Center is sharpening focus on the challenge of mis- and disinformation. With the first grant award from BU\u2019s Institute for Global Sustainability, COM researchers are exploring&nbsp; the scope and impact of \u201cclimate lies\u201d on public opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">We also appointed COM\u2019s first-ever COM associate dean for research and established a task force to recommend ways to support researchers when considering tenure and promotion. We are creating<strong> <\/strong>a new, internal grant award program for promising research.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"featured-content-card layout-3-cards grey-right-background\">\n\t<div
