The annual COM Blue Chip Awards are given to outstanding College of Communication undergraduate students in the class of 2026 who are leaders at Boston University, the College of Communication, and in the community. Award winners have demonstrated talents in their areas of interest, are involved in professional activities and internships, and have excelled in the classroom. The Blue Chip Awards are the most prestigious undergraduate student honor conferred by the College of Communication. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deadline for 2026 Blue Chip nominations has passed. We will post information about the 2027 nomination process early in the Spring 2027 term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deadline to nominate yourself and submit materials to be considered for a 2026 Blue Chip Award is March 16th, at 11:59pm. Please email letters of recommendation to Chloe Patel, cgpatel@bu.edu<\/a> no later than 11:59pm on March 16th, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students self-nominate for the Blue Chip Award. Blue Chip Award applicants are required to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n While only one letter of recommendation from a COM faculty member and one letter of recommendation from an internship supervisor is required, students may submit more if they choose (no more than two from each, please).<\/p>\n\n\n\n While COM Undergraduate Affairs manages the Blue Chip Award application process, the College of Communication\u2019s three academic departments select the Blue Chip Award recipients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students who are COM double majors should apply to only one COM academic department (choose the best fit, or the academic department that you feel best gives you an opportunity for a Blue Chip award). <\/p>\n\n\n\n Letters of recommendation must be received by Chloe Patel, Academic Advisor\/Administrator, COM Undergraduate Affairs, at cgpatel@bu.edu<\/a> no later than 11:59 P.M. on Monday, March 16, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An applicant\u2019s resume can be uploaded as part of the web-form, or emailed to Chloe Patel (cgpatel@bu.edu<\/a>) by the deadline at 11:59 P.M. on Monday, March 16, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All Blue Chip Award application materials, including submitting the web based form, must be submitted and received by Chloe Patel no later than 11:59 P.M.
