Faculty, Staff and Students are also welcome to nominate a graduating student who demonstrates outstanding work in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-editorial-aside alignright\">\n<h4>DEI Award Winners<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/about-com\/diversity-equity-inclusion\/leadership-excellence-award\/dei-award-winners\/\">See all the winners<\/a> since the inaugural award in 2021.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>The Erin Victoria Edwards Award for Leadership Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be given to graduating students from the College of Communication at both the undergraduate and graduate levels who are outstanding leaders in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at Boston University, the College of Communication, and in their wider communities. All graduating students are eligible to apply. Erin Victoria Edwards is a former student of Boston University College of Communication, who showed outstanding leadership through her DEI initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Award winners will have demonstrated strong leadership work in the field of DEI as related to their major fields of study, professional activities and internships, in the classroom, or in their communities at large. Students who wish to nominate themselves for the award, or who were nominated by someone else, will not be eligible to judge the award. The subcommittee will select up to one winner from each department at the Undergraduate level, and one overall winner at the Graduate level, for a total of four possible winners each academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undergraduate students pursuing a COM double major are eligible to apply for or be nominated for the award through one of their academic departments.
