We value diverse experiences and perspectives, and many students enter our programs from fields outside communication and media. In some cases, faculty members may contact applicants for a Zoom meeting if more information is requested by the admission committee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Informational meetings can also be conducted with relevant program faculty at the student\u2019s request, but these do <strong>not <\/strong>have an effect on admission to the program. Students have the option of submitting up to 5 recommendations. We strongly prefer that <em>at least<\/em>&nbsp;one letter is from a professor who can address your ability to perform in an academic setting.&nbsp;Applicants cannot send recommendations directly to COM; all recommendations must come directly from the recommender via the&nbsp;online portal. We suggest that you contact the individuals writing the recommendations to confirm that they will be able to write your recommendation letter and to confirm their preferred email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An email request from COM is sent to your recommender directing them to a secured website for completion.
