We can help you \u2014 wherever you are in the writing process.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone can become a better writer with practice, hard work and constructive feedback. Whether you\u2019re brainstorming ideas, making your way through a first draft, or polishing up a final version, we can offer a set of expert eyes on your writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The College of Communication (COM) Writing Center specializes in helping students with writing for COM courses. Our tutors are all students (graduate and undergrad) in COM fields, and they can guide you through any COM-related writing. Need help structuring a news story? Shaping a screenplay? Developing a PR campaign? Crafting the perfect advertisement?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re also here for you if you\u2019re concerned about your English language skills. Our tutors are trained to help students from a variety of language backgrounds address common writing issues. We might also suggest additional resources that might be of use to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undergrads and graduate students in any major across the university are welcome to use the COM Writing Center for help with any COM course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a class=\"wp-block-button wp-block-bu-button\" href=\"https:\/\/bu.mywconline.com\/schedule\/calendar?scheduleid=sc6a3ad5ed0633c\">REGISTER for appointment<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><strong><strong>Location <\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our physical space is 640 Commonwealth Avenue, Room B27A (lower floor).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Hours for Fall 2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">We open for the semester on Monday, September 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>In-person sessions by <a href=\"https:\/\/bu.mywconline.com\/schedule\/calendar?scheduleid=sc6a3ad5ed0633c\">appointment<\/a> or drop-in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 10 a.m. \u2013 6:30 p.m.<\/li><li>Thursday: 11 a.m. \u2013 6:30 p.m.<\/li><li>Friday: 10 a.m. \u2013 4 p.m.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Remote-only hours:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Tuesday 7-9 p.m.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong><strong>General Policies<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>We don\u2019t proofread or edit papers, but we do point out repeated grammar and usage errors or style issues.<\/li><li>Feel free to make an appointment with any of our tutors, even if they\u2019re not in your academic program \u2014 they\u2019re all available to help you.<\/li><li>If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so at least 2 hours before the appointment start time.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Accommodation Request<\/strong>s<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your participation is important to us!
