{"id":36090,"date":"2023-04-26T10:42:47","date_gmt":"2023-04-26T14:42:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/?post_type=bu-event&#038;p=36090"},"modified":"2023-04-26T10:44:54","modified_gmt":"2023-04-26T14:44:54","slug":"studio-performance-art-house","status":"publish","type":"bu-event","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/event\/studio-performance-art-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Studio Performance: Art House"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A true collaboration brings an entertaining evening of laughter as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of an original live-action TV comedy pilot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Art House&nbsp;<\/em>, a co-production of BU College of Fine Arts School of Theatre and BU College of Communication Department of Film &amp; Television, introduces the audience to a young woman who returns home after a bad breakup and discovers her brother has turned their Boston family home into a workplace for struggling artists. Be a part of the live studio audience as this original multi-camera sitcom is performed and filmed each night at Booth Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch the episode \u2013 written by students from Film and TV and Playwriting students \u2013 unfold as we film the action, reshoot as needed, and run through scenes. All filming, editing, cinematography and directing will be helmed by Film &amp; Television students, with acting, design, production, and management provided by Theatre students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This exciting, first-of-its-kind experience bridges programs from across the University, as students make history together.
