The article was published on the front page of the <em>Globe<\/em>. Excerpt follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Simon Glik, a lawyer, was walking down Tremont Street in Boston when he saw three police officers struggling to extract a plastic bag from a teenager\u2019s mouth. Thinking their force seemed excessive for a drug arrest, Glik pulled out his cellphone and began recording.<\/p>\n<p>Within minutes, Glik said, he was in handcuffs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the officers asked me whether my phone had audio recording capabilities,\u2019\u2019 Glik, 33, said recently of the incident, which took place in October 2007. Glik acknowledged that it did, and then, he said, \u201cmy phone was seized, and I was arrested.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The charge? Illegal electronic surveillance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/local\/massachusetts\/articles\/2010\/01\/12\/police_fight_cellphone_recordings\/?page=1\">Read the rest in the <em>Globe<\/em>.<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mennies introduced <em>Globe <\/em>readers to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/lifestyle\/fashion\/articles\/2010\/01\/12\/lesley_kinzel_helps_fat_people_see_themselves_in_a_new_light\/\">Lesley Kinzel<\/a>, a self-described &#8220;fat&#8221; fashion blogger who claims thousands of readers and an unabashed attitude towards her weight. The article appeared on the front page of the Style &amp; Living section. Excerpt follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Lesley Kinzel is fat.<\/p>\n<p>Not \u201cDoes this dress make me look fat?\u2019\u2019 fat, which requires the obligatory reply, \u201cOf course not!\u2019\u2019 At 300 pounds, Kinzel is fat in a way that is absolute. It\u2019s who she is.
