students took home 16 of the 21 student awards last week at the <a href=\"https:\/\/winning.work\/event\/hatch63\">63nd Annual Hatch Awards<\/a>, one of the country\u2019s premier competitions for New England creatives in marketing and advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a departure, no gold-level awards were made in the student category but COM students won seven of the 11 silvers, four of the four bronze, and five of the six merits. The winning work was from COM\u2019s portfolio development classes taught by COM faculty <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/profile\/doug-gould\/\">Doug Gould<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/profile\/mike-davis\/\">Mike Davis<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/profile\/pegeen-ryan\/\">Pegeen Ryan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur advertising portfolio students are hard-working and talented, and we get to see their determination to do their best work every week,\u201d said Ryan. \u201cWhat is even better is to see how the advertising community recognizes their creative talent at an event like Hatch.
