{"id":257,"date":"2012-02-26T16:21:26","date_gmt":"2012-02-26T21:21:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/?p=257"},"modified":"2015-02-20T16:23:11","modified_gmt":"2015-02-20T21:23:11","slug":"entrapped-wins-redstone-competition","status":"publish","type":"bu-article","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/com\/articles\/entrapped-wins-redstone-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"<em>Entrapped<\/em> wins Redstone competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Maggie Kimball (\u201912)<\/strong> accepted first prize at the 2012 Redstone Film Festival for <em>Entrapped<\/em>, a comedy about a young woman&#8217;s efforts to lose a clinging boyfriend, which she wrote, directed and edited.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More from <em>BU Today<\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m shocked I won. I was hoping for maybe third place,\u201d  said Kimball, who took home a $2,000 cash prize. \u201cI think people could  relate to my film because everyone\u2019s gone through a crazy or bad  breakup.\u201d Kimball said the film would have \u201cfallen to crap\u201d if it  weren\u2019t for actors Alex Highsmith (CFA\u201911), Edmund Donovan (CFA\u201912), and  Sydney Lemmon (CFA\u201912).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought all of the nominated films were strong,\u201d said festival  coordinator Jan Egleson, a College of Communication associate professor  of the practice of film and television. \u201cThey were all really  interesting, and different.
