On That Point, the channel\u2019s current events discussion program, was selected as a winner in the 32nd annual competition. The shows submission &#8220;Living the Dream&#8221; explores perspectives surrounding the DREAM Act, the legislative proposal to provide permanent residency to the children of illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>This is On That Point\u2019s second Telly Award (2008) and butv10\u2019s fourth in consecutive years. &#8220;We\u2019re really proud to win this award,\u201d said Charles Giroux (CAS \u201811), co- executive producer of OTP. Fellow co-executive producer, Gabe Stein (CAS \u201811) added, &#8220;Chuck and I have been working on the show since we were freshmen. Winning the award for the second time is a capstone to our yearly commitment at butv10.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe honor is a catalyst for the entire organization,\u201d said Assistant Professor Christophor Cavalieri, butv10\u2019s faculty advisor. \u201cThe Telly recognition amplifies the students\u2019 dedication to craft and their ability to be responsible stewards of butv10. The students are excited and deservedly so.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>About the Telly Awards<\/h3>\n<p>Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local and regional cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online film and video. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, interactive agencies, and corporate video departments in the world.
