Charbonneau\/WireImage\/Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Albert &#8220;Sandy&#8221; Gallin (COM &#8217;62) died April 21st 2017 at 76 after a long battle with cancer. He was known in the 70&#8217;s, 80&#8217;s and 90&#8217;s as one of the most powerful talent representatives in the entertainment industry. He managed a diverse array of artists ranging from Dolly Parton and Cher to Richard Pryor and Paula Abdul. Gallin was also honored for his work as executive producer of the Oscar-winning documentary \u201cCommon Threads: Stories From the Quilt\u201d (1990), which profiled the people behind the AIDS Memorial Quilt. He also appeared on the cover of Out Magazine\u2019s annual Power Issue in 1994, making him a notable role model for gays and lesbians in the entertainment business.
