Thank you

Faculty and staff play a significant role in student success both during and after college, oftentimes with a lasting impact with how each student navigates their professional journey. Their engagements with you can also introduce opportunities or industries they wouldn’t consider otherwise.

The breadth and depth of your professional experiences in academia and beyond has inspired our students. This is apparent when they connect with the COM Career Services staff and the graduate career coaches. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Collaborating

COM Career Services thrives on collaboration. Whether in the context of a classroom visit, a ‘Meet/Greet’ through Zoom, or something devoted to a specific topic (e.g. cover letters, résumés, LinkedIn profiles etc.), we are excited to work with you.

Please reach out to the Assistant Director, Ned Khatrichettri, to discuss two weeks in advance.

Referring Opportunities

Alumni and employers may reach out to you with opportunities for our COM students or to request student résumés. COM Career Services acknowledges these relationships are important, and we also endeavor to always take an equity and inclusive-oriented approach. They inform our ethos and approach with student engagements, sharing information, opportunities, policies, and with workshops we facilitate.

The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) provides insight for faculty about the ethical and legal standards in student employment for anyone who wants to learn more about this area.

If you do receive information about internships or jobs, please directly forward them to COM Career Services at comjobs@bu.edu. We can then publicize them in our bi-weekly newsletter and in Handshake. When possible, please send us roles 7-10 business days prior to the application deadline to ensure we have time to add it to our newsletter.
