COM Senior’s Portfolio Recognized at Young Ones Student Advertising Awards

Advertising campaign work by COM senior Grace Pisciotta earned her a top prize for Student Portfolio at this week’s Young Ones advertising honors in New York.

Pisciotta’s submission featured work created in COM’s Portfolio I and II classes, and included creative for outdoor exhibits, video, and websites.

“I am positive the judges saw in her portfolio the same thing I see: a gifted creative person who can generate big ideas that live across modern media platforms with elegance and a singular emotional message,” said COM Professor of the Practice Doug Gould, who taught Pisciotta.

Three other submissions by COM students won merit awards in the Young Ones ADC competition:

  • Reddy, Set, Go, for Reddy Ice: Florence Wang (’26), AD/CW, and Zoe Rahaim (’26), AD/CW.
  • The 1/80th Exhibit, for WNBPA: Ian Katan (’26), CW, Grace Pisciotta (’26), AD.
  • Natural by Design, for Patagonia: Helena Wang (’26), AD, Tanishka Singh (’26), CW, Ahaan Vaknalli (’26), CW, Jessica Gonzalez (’26), CW.

Winners’ Gallery

The Young Ones is an international competition sponsored for students and recent graduates in four categories: ADC (for disciplines ranging across illustration, art direction, filmmaking, and architecture), One Show (for advertising creative briefs), Portfolio (for a collection of work in a single discipline), and TDC (for lettering, type design, and typography).

The awards are sponsored by The One Club for Creativity, a nonprofit organization created “to support and celebrate the success of the global creative community.”
