COM Makes PRNEWS Education A-List
Boston University’s College of Communication was honored as one of the best schools for public relations on PRNEWS’ 2023 Education A-List.
The list of 50 colleges and universities “recognizes the best institutions of higher education for career advancement in PR and marketing communications,” according to the PRNEWS website.
COM has earned a spot on the Education A-List every year since the inaugural list in 2021.
“Being recognized by PRNEWS for the Education A-List is a testament to the high-caliber education our students receive at COM,” says Amy Shanler, associate professor of public relations and co-director of PRLab.
“From exceptional scholars and practitioners teaching in the classroom, to the best staff providing incredible services to our students, combined with student-run clubs and agencies, COM offers an innovative, dynamic experience that sets our students up for success in their careers,” she adds.
In 1947, Boston University was the first to offer a university-level degree in public relations. In 1974, the first and longest-operating student-run public relations agency, PRLab, was created in the college.
