Congratulations on your decision to join us at the Boston University College of Communication (COM).
Due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to properly welcome you on campus this summer for our traditional, on-campus, summer orientation programming. We are very excited that we will be hosting required remote summer orientation this June. Students can learn more information about orientation including register for a session here.
While it is difficult to adequately replicate the experience of an in-person visit to COM, we want to share with you some information in the form of videos and additional web links to give you a better feel for COM and our COMmunity.
Below you’ll find a video welcome from Dean DiChristina (COM ’86) as well as additional video content about advising at the College of Communication and each of our five different majors (Advertising, Public Relations, Media Science, Film and Television, and Journalism). In addition to the content here, please check out our COM Virtual Speakers Series. The series is a great way to learn more about COM and engage with us.
Our COM Ambassadors (CAs) have also produced a fun video introduction included below. Supplementing this video is a link to all of our CAs bios. Our CAs love to interact with accepted students, so please feel free to reach out to them with any questions. They have all included contact information within their bio. The CA blog is another resource where you can learn a little more about our students. Soon you will be selecting a COM Ambassador to work with and registering for your fall 2020 courses. Information will be sent to you in late May. Keep an eye on your email for more info and act quickly.
Congratulations once again and we cannot wait to see you at Boston University this fall.
Stay safe and healthy.
