Her current project book project applies a lens of critical classical reception to the investigation of sexual and intimate partner violence in ancient pastoral literature.\u00a0<\/span>She enjoys teaching Latin language and literature courses, as well as courses in translation on\u00a0drama, elegy, ancient medicine, and social history.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">Tori is an advocate for public writing about Classics, which she promotes as Assistant Editor of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/classicalstudies.org\/scs-blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-safelink=\"true\" data-linkindex=\"0\">Society for Classical Studies blog<\/a>, and formerly as Assistant Editor at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eidolon.pub\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-safelink=\"true\" data-linkindex=\"1\">Eidolon Journal<\/a>. She also serves as\u00a0Programming Coordinator for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaaclassicalcaucus.org\/who-we-are\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-safelink=\"true\" data-linkindex=\"2\">Asian and Asian American Classical Caucus<\/a>, volunteer with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cripantiquity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-safelink=\"true\" data-linkindex=\"3\">CripAntiquity<\/a>, and member of the leadership collective of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thesportula.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-safelink=\"true\" data-linkindex=\"4\">the Sportula<\/a>, a mutual aid organization for students of the ancient world.\u00a0She received her Ph.D. in 2022 from Duke University, where she co-founded the diversity committee in the Classical Studies department and led discussions in its anti-racist reading group.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">Outside of work, Tori enjoys dance fitness classes, crossword puzzles, and food documentaries; she is an avid fan of the New York Mets and Duke basketball.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"author":20988,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/9484"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/20988"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/9484\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":9485,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/9484\/revisions\/9485"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=9484"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
