In the Spring of 2020, Hannah C\u030culi\u0301k-Baird<\/a> (Boston University) <\/span>and Joseph Romero<\/a> (University of Mary Washington) co-organized<\/span> Res Difficiles: A Conference On Challenges and Pathways for Addressing Inequity In Classics<\/em>, where panelists and <\/span>participants gather to discuss problems that face researchers and teachers of the ancient Mediterranean at all levels. This <\/span>conference series discusses \u201cdifficult subjects\u201d – res difficiles – <\/span>of several kinds, relating both to the challenges inherent to the subject matter of ancient texts and to the inequities of contemporary education and society more broadly.
