This course will read the Homeric Hymns to Demeter and Aphrodite in Greek, looking at questions of mother\/daughter relationships, emerging sexuality and threats to Zeus&#8217; rule. Intensive study of selected selected major authors may be repeated for credit as topics change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAS CL461 Advanced Greek Seminar<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Prereq: Two 300-level Greek seminars or equivalent.<\/em><br \/>\nTopic for Fall 2021 <span>Selections from Thucydides.<\/span><span>\u00a0Intensive study of selected major authors.
