Spring Ancient Comedy Production: Plautus' Rudens ("The Rope")
- Starts: 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023
- Ends: 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023
This year, the CL229 students will be adapting Plautus' Rudens ("The Rope"), which is about a maiden, kidnapped as a child, who serendipitously washes ashore her father's land after a shipwreck (yup!). A trunk fished from the sea by means of the titular rope contains the tokens that prove her identity and reunite her with her family.
As per tradition, the play will be performed by a merry cast of faculty, graduate students, and undergrads, without a single rehearsal!
