Giving Day 2021: Thank you! Classics had the most supporters of any CAS Department!
Dear Classics students, alums, faculty, and friends,
You’re an amazing cohort. This Wednesday for Giving Day, our department had the most supporters of any department or program in the College of Arts and Sciences, 120 in all. A phenomenal achievement. We are so moved and thank you all. This is on you. And, we have to thank Eliza Givens and Arthur Peterson for their planning and making Giving Day Classical Studies-style so much fun.
With the goal posts moved this year, we didn’t win extra bucks from the college (I’ll have to write the CAS organizers about this!) but you were amazing and we did awesomely well, bringing in over $5,000 which we’ll use for undergraduate and graduate student events, starting with an in-person party this coming September.
