He manages planning studies that help MassDOT and the MBTA meet the goals of providing a reliable, robust, and resilient transportation system. His more recent projects include municipal transportation action plans, the Silver Line Extension Alternatives Analysis, and the Route 1A Corridor Study.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his role at MassDOT, Doug worked as a public involvement specialist with Howard Stein Hudson, Associates. He has also worked as a community organizer and bicycle infrastructure advocate with the Boston Cyclists Union.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2022, Doug was appointed by the Providence City Council to serve a two-year term on the City\u2019s Green and Complete Streets Advisory Council.
