She is also\u00a0 a Visiting Scholar at MIT.<\/p>\n<p>At Boston University, Yazicigil leads the Wireless Integrated Systems and Extreme Circuits Laboratory (<a href=\"https:\/\/wisecircuits.bu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WISE-Circuits Laboratory<\/a>) which focuses on innovating integrated systems derived at the intersection of analog and radio frequency circuits, signal processing, security, and communications.<\/p>\n<p>Her research interests are energy-efficient integrated circuits and systems, novel signal processing algorithms for future wireless communications, and security for internet of things. Her recent work on cryptographic \u201ctag of everything\u201d was featured in <a href=\"http:\/\/news.mit.edu\/2020\/cryptographic-tag-supply-chain-0220\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MIT News<\/a> in February 2020. Additionally, in 2018, her postdoctoral research work on ultra-fast bit-level frequency hopping for physical-layer security was also featured in <a href=\"http:\/\/news.mit.edu\/2018\/novel-transmitter-protects-wireless-data-hackers-0611\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MIT News<\/a> with additional press coverage in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/news\/mit-researchers-stop-hackers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNET<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurekalert.org\/pub_releases\/2018-06\/miot-ntp060718.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EurekAlert!<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2018\/06\/08\/mit-wireless-transmitter-hackers-frequency-hopping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Engadget<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electronicsweekly.com\/news\/research-news\/frequency-hopping-per-bit-foils-hackers-2018-06\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ElectronicsWeekly.com<\/a>. She is leading the <a href=\"http:\/\/wisecircuits.bu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wireless Integrated Systems and Extreme Circuits (WISE-Circuits) Laboratory<\/a> since August 2018.<\/p>\n<p>She received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in 2016. She received the B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering from Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2009, and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from \u00c9cole Polytechnique F\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>She is the recipient of a number of awards, including the \u201cElectrical Engineering Collaborative Research Award\u201d for her Ph.D. research on Compressive Sampling Applications in Rapid RF Spectrum Sensing (2016), \u00a0second place at the Bell Labs Future X Days Student Research Competition (2015), Analog Devices Inc. outstanding student designer award (2015), and 2014 Millman Teaching Assistant Award of Columbia University. She has presented her research work in several forums, most recently as an invited keynote at the 2020 Nature Symposium focused on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionareces.es\/fundacionareces\/en\/events\/biomimetic-sensors-their-use-and-potential-in-medicine.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Biomimetic Sensors: Their use and potential in Medicine<\/a>. She recently served as the Vice Chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sscs.ieee.org\/women-in-circuits\/rising-stars-2020-workshop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rising Stars 2020<\/a> workshop at the <a href=\"http:\/\/submissions2.mirasmart.com\/ISSCC2020\/PDF\/ISSCC2020AdvanceProgram.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC)<\/a> and she is member of the 2015 MIT EECS Rising Stars cohort. She was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the\u00a0EECS Department of MIT working with Prof. Anantha P.
